Everyone gets the same puzzle today. Your timer doesn't start until you hit Start.
Split: draw a single line along the grid's edges that splits the whole board into exactly two pieces, with every value of every attribute split evenly between the two sides โ all at once, with just one line.
Splits (with an S): the original game. Draw one separate line per attribute (Color, Shape, Number, and on Hard, Background) so each one splits the board into two pieces with that attribute's values divided evenly โ switch between lines by clicking a column in the tally panel.
Draw a path along the grid's edges from one point to another. A line is complete once it fully separates the grid into two regions โ it's solved once every relevant attribute value is split into equal halves between those two regions. In Splits, no edge can be shared between two different lines (except on Hard, where lines may overlap).
Touch: Tap an empty edge to draw it and keep dragging to add more, releasing to stop. Tap an already-drawn edge to erase just that one โ or drag away from it instead of just tapping to continue the line from there rather than erasing it.
Mouse: Click and hold on an empty edge, then drag to draw โ release to stop. Click and hold on an already-drawn edge to erase it (and any others you drag across); hold Shift or Ctrl while doing that instead to continue the line from there rather than erasing it.
Keyboard: Arrow keys move the highlighted edge around the grid. Enter or Space toggles it.
If a line ever splits the grid into more than two pieces, a small stray piece gets automatically merged back in for you โ unless doing so would leave some piece smaller than a quarter of the grid, in which case it's left alone for you to sort out by hand.
In Split, the line is allowed to pass by itself at a single corner point without sealing that spot off โ you'll see a small gap there instead of a solid dot. That's expected, not a mistake.
